the great gatsby favorite quote

At the beginning of the great gatsby Nick says he tries his best to not judge people. that's why i choose the quote " dishonesty in a women is a thing you never blame deeply - i was casually sorry, and then i forgot". I choose this quote because people see lying as a horrible thing. I believe that you shouldn't lie in any circumstance. nick so far has been my favorite character because all the other characters are fake. Hes been a good guy through out the whole story and doesnt judge people over small things like there appearance. I know for a fact that i judge people over how they look or how the speak but i shouldnt. People have problems that are either out of their control or are just going threw thing that cause them to be that way. God is the only person that can judge someone else.

aphorism

the essay "Self Reliance" by ralph emerson has many aphorism. there were many different ones that stood out to me but the one that stood out the most was "no law can be sacred to me but that of my own nature. i chose this quote cause its a really good life lesson. To me it means that you shouldnt put other peoples rules and opinons over your own.

Marriage Analogy

Marriage is like a prison. In jail you have to make decisions and do things that will help you to survive. Marriage is similar in the way that you must make hard decisions to make your marriage survive. Also you are tied down in marriage. In prison you are forced to stay in a cell that you can’t leave until anyone says so. In both if you mess up they can leave you hurt. In marriage you could end up broken hearted or have to pay child support. In jail you could end up dead. In the movie "I Think I Love My Wife" man feels trapped in his life. He remember him actually talking to a women he meets telling her that he wants to feel like he used to. He says things with his wife are getting boring and he wants out. Just like someone that would be in prison.

A Separate Peace Trailer

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

The images i chose for the book were a turtle in a shell and a broken bone. The turtle in the shell represents the fear of the boys. The boys feared the society around then. They had fear about what them selves could also do. The bone represents the broken friendship between Finny and Gene.
